Raven Rock Redux!
You'll notice the text below mentions an alternative event. That alternative event is the Raven Rock Redux, which will be Sunday, May 3 at Carolina Brewing Company in Holly Springs, with (mostly) the same routes, just starting and ending at the brewery. This is a FREE event. It is also an UNSUPPORTED event, so you'll need to be prepared to support yourself, just as on any other pick-up ride.
While free, we do ask that you register, so that can plan properly and communicate with you as needed.
See the Raven Rock Redux page for more information, and I hope I'll see you there!

Announcement
This is the text from an email sent to prior riders in November:
About next year...
All good things, yes? As many of you know, I retired as director of the Raven Rock Ramble in 2022 after leading the event for 20 years. I have profound thanks for Doug Kline, Bob Oderkirk, George Desser, and the others who came forward to keep this ride running, and to the donors and sponsors who allowed us to clear $60,000 this year for the UNC Kidney Center, and $567,000 since inception.
As it stands now, we are without a director for 2026, and I do not expect there will be a Raven Rock Ramble as such. That said, I am working with the board (which also includes Mark Olsen and Hal Drumheller) to develop plans for some sort of alternative event on Sunday, May 3. Please save that date, and we'll get info out about that in the months ahead.
I'll admit, this is bittersweet. The Raven Rock Ramble was my baby, and many people came together to make it one of the most popular rides in the state. It's also an insane amount of work; I myself would spend 200 to 800 hours each year when I was directing it.
If you're receiving this email then you've been associated with the Raven Rock Ramble in some way. Thank-you for your support and encouragement. It was quite a ride!
Sincerely,
David Cole, founder
Raven Rock Ramble
The information below is for the 2025 ride...
The Raven Rock Ramble is a century (100-mile) bicycle ride that explores the four-county area (Wake, Harnett, Lee, and Chatham) around Raven Rock State Park. Proceeds benefit the UNC Kidney Center for direct patient services. Since its start in 2002, the Raven Rock Ramble has raised over $450,000 towards kidney health and awareness.
